The bartender returned shortly after with their drink order, and he watched as she tasted hers to make sure there was the look of approval, that her drink was as she wanted. When he was assured of that, he lifted his glass to his lips, letting the familiar liquid warm its way down his throat. It had been quite a while since he’d frequented a club, so it was with caution that he began drinking. He decided before he’d even stepped foot into the club to take it slow, so he sipped the drink more thoughtfully than usual, allowing the taste to linger on his lips.
“Yeah? I was named after my grandmother, Deanna,” he explained with a grin. “Glad the name suits me.” He tilted his head, brow cocked, as she spoke her name. “Beautiful name for a beautiful woman,” he said softly.
“ Family names are really good. Most of the time. Fitzgerald is always awkward, so you’re blessed with Dean. ” She did this nose crinkle she usually did when she was flirting to follow up her words with. Then he responded with yet another well placed compliment that took Persephone a moment to respond. Her pupils widened in delight. Her dark hair fell in front of her face for a moment, her doe eyes looking back down into her drink. Pale porcelain skin stood out well with how dark her hair was, when her hand lifted to pull it away from her face. The last thing she wanted to look like was to appear like a hopeless schoolgirl.
The blush was admittedly the deepest it had been. Persephone was appalled with herself - Gods why was she showing this so hardcore? - for letting the blush come through so hard. At least she wasn’t forcing it… Dean was just doing a really good job of creating that affect. There was something about his smile that she found an immense amount of warmth in, drawing the girl in more.
